No one warned me about the most dangerous part of circumnavigating, and I’m not prepared. In fact, I feel like I’m alone and friendless in uncharted waters. Even Carolyn, my wonderful wife, lover, and navigator of 35 years, can’t seem to reach me. I’m drowning.
