WebDec 10, 2015 · So clearly the README has some missing steps when trying to compile and start the database for the first time. After doing a successful 'configure', 'make' and 'make install', the steps go straight to the 'gpdemo' part, but that doesn't work, it says that it cannot connect to the database.
